I am Alexia Vernier, a physicist by training and an artist by vocation.
My journey as an artist began in parallel with a career dedicated to understanding the world through science. Yet beyond equations and experiments, I’ve always felt the need to explore reality through emotion, light, and color. Art became my way to translate wonder into matter, intuition into form. Inspired by nature’s subtleties and strength, I create works that celebrate quiet resilience, fleeting beauty, and the vibrant harmony of life.
Whether in the soft textures of pastels or the depth of oil, my paintings reflect both scientific precision and poetic expression. I work mainly with soft pastels and oil paint, and occasionally explore oil pastel and ink. Each medium offers a different voice to tell the stories I see around me, from wild landscapes to delicate still lifes.
